First Out Of 2018

Today I decided to brave the cold and had the first run of 2018 outside of the house. It was very freaking cold (28°F) and there were still some ice patches on the sidewalk.

Personally, the highest point of the night was when they played Walk. Walk is one of those songs that really get to me. I was in a really really low point of my life when that song came out. I remember playing it over and over again until I did that, I learned to walk again. (The other song that helped me get out of my emotional hell hole was Weezer – The Good Life, but that’s another story).

Learning to walk again

I believe I’ve waited long enough

Where do I begin?

Learning to talk again

Can’t you see I’ve waited long enough?

Where do I begin?

Saturday Run

Saturday morning and I fell asleep badly. Missed my alarm clock and woke up barely in time to make it to the Hillbilly 10K race. Got up, got dressed, got the keys, got in the car, took off… only to realize that I left the bibs and my earphones at home. Decided to turn back and not go to the race.

However I did went out for a run in the morning. 6.2 miles and pretend I was on the race. I think the first 3.5 miles went really good. Then after that I really started to get tired. Did my typical 1:24 time on 10K and came back home. A bit sore on the legs right now, hopefully tomorrow is not going to be so bad.
